Corporate Social Responsibility
Aralia’s corporate social responsibility efforts are evident in the company’s commitment to supporting an active CSR program, including volunteering and fundraising for selected non-profits and charitable programs, maintaining transparency in its operations, and involving stakeholders in decision-making. The goal of Aralia’s CSR program is to decrease the environmental impacts associated with company activities, and support high social and employment standards.
Aralia’s commitment to ethical business standards is one of the company’s most valuable assets, helping to ensure its reputation and trust from employees, clients and other stakeholders. To maintain this reputation and trust, Aralia is committed to ensuring the highest ethical standards during the conduct of business activities. The success of the business is built on reputable operations, which require employees to act in a manner deserving of continued trust and public trust. Therefore, Aralia is committed to creating a safe and healthy workplace, as well as controlling negative environmental impacts due to company activities through:
- Ensuring the implementation of the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) program is an integral part of the overall company’s operations;
- Clearly defining the roles and responsibilities for all of the company’s management and staff to ensure the proper implementation of the Health, Safety, and Environment Management System (HSEMS);
- Identifying HSE hazards, environmental aspects, addressing environmental impacts and risk, and defining controls to prevent accidents, occupational diseases and damage to the environment;
- Communicating HSE policy and procedures to all employees and related parties to ensure that they understand the HSE responsibilities related to the company’s operations; and
- Complying with all applicable HSE laws and regulations and other relevant obligations.
We strive to meet our CSR objectives in the areas of organization and governance, human rights, labor practices, environmental sustainability, fair operating practices, corporate relations and community engagement and development. Our core values of Accurate, Reliable, Accountable, Loyal, Innovative, Agile are at the heart of our CSR mandate.
Health & Safety
Safety is Aralia’s number one priority during the planning and execution of all activities. Aralia works hard to ensure a safe and healthy work environment, both in the office and in the field. Accidents can be prevented, and Aralia’s goal is to maintain a high level of health and safety performance where preventable accidents are avoided. Since operations began in 2022, Aralia has maintained an outstanding health and safety record, embracing guidelines that often improve upon standards set by government and industry. Our health and safety program promotes continual improvement with the goal of maintaining zero health or safety reportable incidents annually. In Indonesia, our OHS/K3 Management Program has successfully passed the audit, and is integrated with Government programs, namely BPJS Employment (Social Security Agency) and BPJS Health (National Health Insurance Agency).
Environmental Policy
Since Aralia’s inception in 2022, the protection of the environment has been a cornerstone of our business and corporate culture. We are committed to being leaders in minimizing the impact of our activities on the environment and supporting the environmental protection initiatives of our clients. Our Environmental Policy includes the following objectives:
- Ensure that Aralia operates in full compliance with environmental laws and regulations and that our activities meet or exceed the requirements of all applicable environmental legislation that relate to our work;
- Continually promote environmental awareness, responsibility, and best practices, and support a culture of environmental sustainability through education and in-house initiatives to reduce our environmental footprint;
- Support environmental protection through the use of materials and methods that minimize environmental risk, reduce waste according to the principles of reduce, reuse, and recycle, and handle and dispose of waste in an environmentally safe and responsible manner;
- Make business decisions that support our environmental policy including basing our operations from a “green” office building designed according to environmental initiatives of sustainability and reduction of resource use;
- Support environmental initiatives of our clients and encourage implementation of environmentally sustainable practices;
- Apply our environmental skills toward the betterment of environmental quality on a global scale including fund-raising and not-for-profit support of selected environmental initiatives in Canada and overseas
- Conduct reviews of our environmental policy and performance, and continually improve our performance through the application of new approaches and technologies to reduce our environmental footprint and enhance environmental sustainability objectives.
